The overall envelope is 79 × 65 × 50 mm including the servo and latch. The concave cradle locates a Ø60 mm-class cylindrical payload along its length so it cannot roll or shift sideways in flight, and the strap pulls it down into the curve. The ZD1PLUS is the lightest FlySpark dropper sized for Ø60 mm-class cylindrical payloads. At approximately 65 g it leaves more of a small drone’s lift margin for the payload itself, and because it needs only one PWM output and a 5 V rail it fits almost any FPV-class or custom-built airframe without extra electronics. The curved cradle and strap give a secure, centred hold, and the quick-release SQ version lets crews swap droppers between aircraft in seconds.

The payload is laid in the curved cradle and the hook-and-loop strap is passed over it, with its end captured by the latch on the front block. A two-position switch on the pilot’s transmitter is assigned to one AUX channel, which the flight controller or receiver outputs as a PWM servo signal. In the lock position the micro servo keeps the latch closed; switching to release rotates the servo, the latch opens, the strap end frees and the payload drops cleanly from the cradle. The dropper is then reloaded on the ground for the next sortie.


The ZD1PLUS is intended for FPV-class drones and custom-built multirotors with a spare PWM servo output, typically 7–10 inch quadcopters and similar airframes. Mount it under the aircraft’s centre of gravity, clear of the propellers and camera view. The PWM-V1 version is fixed with straps or zip-ties; the SQ-V1 version clicks onto an aircraft-side quick-release mount that is sold separately. For DJI Mavic and Air-series camera drones without a PWM output, choose the light-sensor triggered ZD1-V3 instead.
