Intelligence Brief

Mission Overview

FlySpark N-DEFENDER | Passive Multi-Band Drone Detection & Video Interception System

FlySpark N-DEFENDER is a portable, fully passive counter-drone intelligence system built to detect FPV drones from their own radio emissions, verify the threat through hardware video decoding and display the intruding drone’s live analog camera feed. Its operating concept is simple: detect the drone, prove the drone and see what the drone sees.

Unlike ordinary RF scanners that alarm when they see signal energy, N-DEFENDER uses a four-stage verification engine. It sweeps multiple FPV bands, analyzes signal persistence and carrier behavior, probes the suspected video channel, then confirms real PAL or NTSC composite-video sync in hardware. A verified analog-drone alert is therefore based on video proof rather than RF guesswork.

N-DEFENDER covers 1.08–2.36GHz, 3.10–3.80GHz, 4.87–6.06GHz and 6.00–8.26GHz. It scans 100+ threat-prioritized channels per round, reports exact frequency, signal strength, confidence and estimated range, and provides live composite AV video output.

  • PRODUCT POSITIONING:
  • • Detects FPV drones from their own video transmissions
  • • Confirms analog threats through hardware video proof
  • • Displays the live analog camera feed where legally permitted
  • • Reports band, exact frequency, signal strength, confidence and estimated range
  • • Scans 100+ threat-prioritized channels across four bands from 1GHz to 8GHz
  • • Separates analog FPV, digital RF activity and urban interference
  • • Fully passive: no RF transmission, jamming, spoofing or drone control
  • • Supports handheld, vehicle-mounted and fixed-site deployment
  • CORE PROMISE:
  • • Detect the drone before it reaches the protected zone
  • • Prove the threat with decoded analog video
  • • Show the operator what the drone camera sees
  • • Reduce false alarms through multi-layer verification
  • • Continue background scanning while locked to a confirmed threat
  • • Deliver actionable intelligence instead of only a warning tone

WHY IT MATTERS: Modern FPV drones often use analog video because it is low-latency, widely available and long-range capable. Every analog FPV drone must transmit video to its operator. That downlink becomes a detectable RF beacon that N-DEFENDER can exploit without transmitting anything itself.

  • BEST USE CASES:
  • • Passive FPV drone detection and video evidence capture
  • • Critical infrastructure, prison and government-facility security
  • • Border observation and anti-smuggling operations
  • • Airport or heliport perimeter awareness under approval
  • • VIP event, stadium and public-gathering security
  • • Industrial restricted-zone and drone test-range monitoring
  • • Command-center integration and authorized RF/video intelligence collection

IMPORTANT USE NOTE: N-DEFENDER is a passive receive-only detection and analog FPV video-monitoring system. It does not jam, transmit, spoof, interfere with or take control of drones. Use must comply with local RF-monitoring, privacy and aviation laws, site permissions and lawful security procedures.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: What is FlySpark N-DEFENDER? A: FlySpark N-DEFENDER is a passive multi-band FPV drone detection and analog video interception system. It detects drones by RF emissions, verifies analog video in hardware and can display the drone’s live camera feed to the operator.

  • Q: What is the price of FlySpark N-DEFENDER?
  • A: The listed price of the FlySpark N-DEFENDER Standard Portable Kit is ₹2,48,000.

Q: What does “Detect the drone, prove the drone, see what it sees” mean? A: The system first detects the drone’s RF signal, verifies the threat with hardware video proof and then displays the drone’s live analog FPV feed where legally permitted.

  • Q: Is N-DEFENDER a drone jammer?
  • A: No. N-DEFENDER is a passive receive-only detection and video-monitoring system, not a jammer.
  • Q: Does N-DEFENDER transmit any RF signal?
  • A: No. It is fully passive and does not transmit RF energy.
  • Q: Can N-DEFENDER disable a drone?
  • A: No. It detects and verifies drone activity but does not disable, hijack, jam or spoof the drone.
  • Q: What type of drones can it detect?
  • A: It is optimized for FPV drones using analog video links across 1.2/1.3GHz, 3.3GHz, 5.8GHz and 7.2GHz-class bands.
  • Q: Can it detect analog FPV drones?
  • A: Yes. Analog FPV drone detection is the primary purpose of the system.

Q: Can it decode encrypted digital video? A: No. It does not decode encrypted digital video. Wideband digital RF activity can be classified separately, but live video confirmation is for unencrypted analog FPV signals.

  • Q: What frequency bands does it scan?
  • A: It scans 1.08–2.36GHz, 3.10–3.80GHz, 4.87–6.06GHz and 6.00–8.26GHz.
  • Q: How many channels does it scan?
  • A: It scans more than 100 channels per sweep round.
  • Q: How fast is one full scan round?
  • A: A full four-band sweep takes approximately 6 seconds.
  • Q: How fast can it verify a suspicious signal?
  • A: A hot-signal fast path can tune and probe a suspect channel in approximately 0.5 seconds.
  • Q: What is the receiver sensitivity?
  • A: Sensitivity is approximately -90dBm to -96dBm depending on band and front end.
  • Q: What video standards are supported?
  • A: Analog FM CVBS video with PAL and NTSC auto-detection is supported.
  • Q: What is hardware video proof?
  • A: Hardware video proof means the system confirms genuine composite-video sync and a recognized video standard before raising a verified analog-drone alarm.

Q: Why is hardware video proof important? A: It prevents RF energy alone from triggering a verified alarm, reducing false positives from cellular towers, broadband noise, harmonics and random RF bursts.

  • Q: What information does N-DEFENDER show after detection?
  • A: It can show frequency, band, signal strength, confidence score, estimated range, lock time, battery state and video-confirmation state.
  • Q: Can it show the drone’s live camera feed?
  • A: Yes, when the drone uses unencrypted analog FPV video and the signal is successfully verified.
  • Q: Does it show an overlay on the video?
  • A: Yes. Its hardware OSD can show system state, band, frequency, signal strength, range, lock timer and battery level.

Q: What is the practical detection range? A: Range depends on VTX power, antenna, terrain and RF conditions. Example line-of-sight estimates are about 1.8km at 5.8GHz and 8km at 1.2/1.3GHz for a 200mW VTX.

  • Q: What is the highest listed practical range?
  • A: Under suitable line-of-sight conditions, a 600–800mW transmitter may be detected up to approximately 15km on 1.2/1.3GHz.
  • Q: Can it estimate distance?
  • A: Yes. It provides signal-strength-based range estimation and supports field calibration.
  • Q: Can it show whether the drone is coming closer?
  • A: Yes. It monitors signal trends and can indicate approaching or receding behavior.
  • Q: Can it detect multiple drones?
  • A: It can remain locked to a verified threat while scanning other bands, then verify a stronger or closer threat before handover.
  • Q: What alerts are available?
  • A: Alerts include a touchscreen warning banner, siren, RGB beacon, OSD video alert, serial telemetry and event log.
  • Q: Does it have a built-in display?
  • A: Yes. It uses a 3.5-inch, 480×320 color touchscreen.
  • Q: Does it support an external monitor?
  • A: Yes. Composite AV output supports a monitor, goggles, recorder or relay equipment.
  • Q: Does it support command-center integration?
  • A: Yes. A USB serial command API and telemetry output support dashboard and larger security-system integrations.
  • Q: Is it suitable for critical infrastructure?
  • A: Yes. It is designed for power plants, refineries, substations, dams, data centers and other high-value infrastructure requiring passive monitoring.
