HOW IT WORKS: TRIGGER AND SMOKE RELEASE

On the LED version, the optical sensor window in the foam pad is taped over the drone’s bottom auxiliary light. Switching that light on from the flight app tells the SMOKER2 to start smoke output, so it works on aircraft that have no payload port. On the PWM and SQ versions, a spare PWM output on the flight controller or receiver is assigned to a transmitter switch, and flipping the switch starts smoke output in flight. The canisters stay on the module while they burn and stop when spent; the module is then reloaded on the ground.
