RF links can be detected, jammed or spoofed. Fiber-optic and tethered systems remove that vulnerability: control and video travel through a hair-thin optical fiber or a power-and-data tether, giving unjammable command links for FPV drones and unlimited endurance for surveillance platforms.

FlySpark fiber-optic spools (G.657.A2 bend-insensitive fiber) are supplied in 1–60 km lengths for drone-mounted deployment, with the V2 spool covering 1–30 km. The 100 m tethered power system series delivers 1.5–30 kW to a hovering UAV for persistent observation, communications relay or lighting. Long-range analog VTX modules across 1.2 GHz – 8 GHz remain available where RF video is still the right choice.

When choosing fiber, match spool length to mission radius, check payout tension and spool mass against your airframe, and confirm the transceiver interface (UART, Ethernet, HDMI). For tethers, size the ground power unit to the drone hover draw plus payload and choose tether length for the required altitude with a safety margin.

These are dual-use items; export orders are reviewed for end use and quoted in your currency with 1–2 weeks lead time for standard spools.
