Intelligence Brief
The FlySpark 60ZD2 is a dual-channel drone payload dropper that carries two Ø60 mm-class cylindrical payloads under FPV-class and custom-built multirotors and releases them on command over a CRSF (Crossfire / ELRS) radio link. Each payload rests in a curved cradle that conforms to its shape and is held by its own retention strap, so the load stays centred and quiet in flight and falls cleanly when the latch opens.

The 60ZD2 is part of the FlySpark UAV Payload Droppers & Release Systems range, supplied and supported in India by AnuShakti Infotech Pvt. Ltd. for defence, government security, public-safety and professional integrator customers, with export enquiries welcome.
The complete unit measures 233 × 65 × 46 mm and weighs approx. 200 g including straps. It runs on 5 V and reads its release command directly from the CRSF stream, so there is no separate PWM servo lead to route. Two versions are offered: 60ZD2-CRSF, which straps directly under the airframe, and 60ZD2-SQ, a quick-release version that clicks onto an aircraft-side quick-release mount (sold separately) for fast swaps and reloading.

Two payloads per sortie halves the number of flights for marking, resupply and emplacement tasks. The curved cradles are shaped for the Ø60 mm size class, so cylindrical payloads seat repeatably without improvised padding, and the strap-and-latch retention keeps them secure through manoeuvring and wind. At approx. 200 g the dropper leaves most of a 7–10 inch quadcopter’s payload margin for the payloads themselves.
CRSF control means the dropper plugs into the same Crossfire or ELRS link the pilot already flies with. The release command is assigned to a transmitter switch, and FlySpark supplies wiring and channel-mapping guidance for the customer’s airframe.

The pilot assigns the release command to a switch on the Crossfire or ELRS transmitter. The CRSF receiver, or a spare flight-controller CRSF output, passes the data stream and 5 V supply to the 60ZD2. The onboard decoder reads the command and drives the servo latch in the central tower, which frees the strap buckle of the first payload position; the payload drops away under gravity while the second position stays secured. The next command releases the second payload. After landing, the straps are refastened over fresh payloads and the latch is reset.

The 60ZD2 is designed for FPV-class and custom-built multirotors with a CRSF radio link — typically 7–10 inch quadcopters with sufficient payload margin for the dropper plus two payloads. The 60ZD2-CRSF version is strapped to the aircraft’s bottom plate. The 60ZD2-SQ version mounts through a quick-release mount on the aircraft, which is sold separately. Mount the dropper on the aircraft’s centre line so the centre of gravity stays balanced before and after each release.

For armed forces, paramilitary, border and internal-security units, the 60ZD2 adds a two-position delivery and emplacement capability for marking, signalling, resupply and sensor tasks to small multirotors already in service with Crossfire or ELRS links.

For rescue services, utilities, agriculture and research teams, the 60ZD2 is a light, simple way to place two items precisely where ground access is slow or unsafe.

The 60ZD2 sits between the single-channel droppers and the heavier mechanical-latch and multi-channel systems. Choose it when you need two Ø60 mm-class payloads on a lightweight CRSF-controlled FPV-class or custom airframe.
IMPORTANT USE NOTE: The 60ZD2 is supplied only to verified end users. The buyer is responsible for using lawful payloads, obtaining all airspace and operating permissions, and complying with applicable export-control and end-use rules. Payload fit is confirmed by FlySpark for the end user’s approved payload. Never fly over people or release payloads over people, vehicles or property without authorisation, and always ground-test the release with propellers removed before flight.
Q: What is a drone payload dropper? A: A drone payload dropper is a small release mechanism fitted under a multirotor that holds one or more payloads and lets them go on a command from the pilot. It turns a standard drone into a delivery or emplacement tool for rescue kits, markers, sensors and similar items.
Q: What is the FlySpark 60ZD2? A: The FlySpark 60ZD2 is a dual-channel drone payload dropper with two curved cradles for Ø60 mm-class cylindrical payloads. It measures 233 × 65 × 46 mm, weighs approx. 200 g including straps, runs on 5 V and is controlled over CRSF (Crossfire / ELRS).
Q: What payloads does the 60ZD2 carry? A: Two Ø60 mm-class cylindrical payloads, one in each curved cradle, such as inert training cylinders, smoke-signal canisters, marker or beacon tubes and packed rescue items of the same size class. Payload fit is confirmed by FlySpark for the end user’s approved payload.
Q: What does “dual-channel” mean on this dropper? A: The dropper has two payload positions, so one sortie can deliver two items. The first position is released on command while the second stays secured until the next command.
Q: What control signal does the 60ZD2 use? A: CRSF, the serial protocol used by TBS Crossfire and ExpressLRS (ELRS) radio links. The release command is mapped to a switch on the transmitter and read by the dropper directly from the CRSF stream.
Q: Can I trigger the 60ZD2 with PWM or a light sensor? A: No — the 60ZD2 is a CRSF dropper. For PWM servo or LED light-sensor triggering, FlySpark offers other droppers such as the ZD1-V3 and ZD2-V3 in PWM and LED versions.
Q: Which drones is the 60ZD2 designed for? A: FPV-class and custom-built multirotors with a CRSF radio link — typically 7–10 inch quadcopters with enough payload margin for the approx. 200 g dropper plus two payloads. It is not intended for DJI Mavic or Air camera drones.
Q: What is the difference between 60ZD2-CRSF and 60ZD2-SQ? A: 60ZD2-CRSF is strapped directly under the airframe. 60ZD2-SQ is the quick-release version: it clicks onto a quick-release mount on the aircraft so the dropper can be swapped or reloaded quickly. The aircraft-side quick-release mount is sold separately.
Q: How is the 60ZD2 mounted? A: The CRSF version is strapped to the drone’s bottom plate; the SQ version attaches through a quick-release mount fitted to the aircraft. FlySpark advises on placement so the centre of gravity stays under the airframe centre.
Q: How are payloads secured? A: Each payload sits in a curved cradle that conforms to its shape and is held by a hook-and-loop retention strap with a steel buckle that engages the central servo latch.
Q: What is the lead time, and do you export? A: Lead time is confirmed with the quotation. FlySpark supplies across India and handles export enquiries subject to end-user verification and applicable export-control rules.
Q: Who can buy the 60ZD2? A: It is supplied only to verified end users such as defence and government agencies, public-safety organisations, licensed integrators, research institutions and commercial operators with a lawful use case.
Q: Can the 60ZD2 be used for weaponised payloads? A: FlySpark supplies the 60ZD2 as a generic payload release device. Integration of any other authorised payload is the end user’s responsibility and must comply with national law, procurement rules, airspace permissions and export controls.
Q: Can the dropper be reloaded in the field? A: Yes. After landing, open the straps, seat new payloads in the cradles, refasten the straps and re-arm the latch. The SQ version also allows the whole dropper to be swapped on its quick-release mount.
Q: How do I test the dropper before flight? A: With propellers removed, power the aircraft, confirm the CRSF link and operate the release switch to check that the latch opens and resets correctly. Then load inert payloads and repeat the test before any live mission.
Q: How does the 60ZD2 compare with the 60WD series? A: The 60ZD2 is the lightweight strap-cradle option at approx. 200 g and 5 V. The 60WD series uses mechanical snap latches, TPU damping and 7–28 V input for heavier-duty use, at 240–970 g depending on model.
Q: What warranty is included? A: Warranty covers manufacturing defects for 1 year under approved use and normal operating conditions. Crash damage, overload, wrong wiring or unauthorised modification may not be covered.
