Intelligence Brief
The FlySpark SDC dual-lock multi-channel drone dropper is a parallel payload release system that carries 2, 4, 6 or 8 compact ovoid payloads under a multirotor and releases them on command. Every payload position is held by its own dual safety lock, the whole rack attaches through a quick-release plate, and the electronics accept a wide 7–28 V supply with CRSF, PWM, light-sensor or remote triggering. Four sizes cover the range from a 160 g two-channel unit for FPV-class drones to an 820 g eight-channel rack for DJI M350-class enterprise aircraft.

The SDC is part of the FlySpark UAV Payload Droppers & Release Systems range, supplied and supported in India by AnuShakti Infotech Pvt. Ltd., with export enquiries handled subject to approvals. It is intended for defence and government users, public-safety agencies and professional integrators who need a repeatable, well-secured multi-payload release on a standard airframe.
Cradles are arranged in pairs either side of a central spine that carries the locking mechanism. The SDC2 measures 168 × 54 × 80 mm, the SDC4 168 × 108 × 93 mm, the SDC6 168 × 162 × 93 mm and the SDC8 215 × 168 × 100 mm, with approximate weights of 160, 370, 580 and 820 g. Each variant is available as a CRSF version or an SQ quick-release version; the dropper-side quick-release seat is supplied as a free upgrade, while the aircraft-side quick-release plate is ordered separately.

Two locks per channel mean a payload is not held by a single latch, which matters on airframes that vibrate hard or manoeuvre aggressively. The parallel layout keeps the load compact and close to the aircraft’s centre of gravity, and the quick-release plate lets crews reload on the bench and swap a fresh rack onto the drone in seconds. One wide supply range and four trigger options mean the same dropper family can serve an ELRS-equipped FPV-class quadcopter and an enterprise multirotor without redesign.

The SDC controller reads a release command and opens both locks of the selected channel, letting that payload fall clear while the others stay secured. On FPV-class and custom-built drones the command normally arrives as CRSF serial data from a Crossfire / ELRS receiver or as a PWM servo signal from a receiver or flight-controller output. On enterprise aircraft the light-sensor trigger sits over the drone’s bottom auxiliary light, so the pilot releases a payload by toggling that light from the flight app with no signal wiring into the aircraft. A dedicated remote trigger is also available. Channels are released individually, and the mapping is set up on the transmitter or trigger during integration.

The SDC is designed for FPV-class 7–10 inch quadcopters and custom-built multirotors, and for DJI M350-class enterprise drones. An aircraft-side quick-release plate (sold separately) is fixed to the drone once; the dropper-side seat on the SDC slides onto it and latches, so the rack can be removed for reloading or exchanged for a different channel count. Power comes from the aircraft’s battery or power port within the 7–28 V range. Always confirm the aircraft’s rated payload, centre of gravity and power budget for the loaded weight.

For armed forces, paramilitary units and government security agencies, the SDC gives a secure multi-payload release for training, signalling, sensor emplacement and resupply tasks from a standard drone.
For emergency services, utilities, agriculture and research, the SDC turns an FPV-class or enterprise multirotor into a precise multi-drop delivery tool.

The SDC is the dual-lock parallel option in the FlySpark dropper range, chosen when several compact ovoid payloads must be carried securely on one sortie. Lighter single and dual-channel units suit small camera drones, while dedicated racks cover cylindrical payloads and smoke canisters.

The SDC is supplied only to verified end users. The buyer is responsible for using only lawful payloads, obtaining all airspace permissions and complying with export controls and local regulations. Payload fit is confirmed by FlySpark for the end user’s approved payload. Never fly over people or release over people, respect the aircraft’s rated payload, and ground-test every channel before flight.
Q: What is a multi-channel drone dropper? A: A multi-channel drone dropper (drone payload release system) is a rack fitted under a multirotor that holds several payloads in separate positions and releases each one on command. The FlySpark SDC holds 2, 4, 6 or 8 compact ovoid payloads in parallel cradles, each secured by its own dual safety lock.
Q: What is the FlySpark SDC? A: The FlySpark SDC is a dual-lock multi-channel parallel drone dropper offered in four sizes — SDC2, SDC4, SDC6 and SDC8 — with quick-release plate mounting, a 7–28 V supply and CRSF, PWM, light-sensor or remote triggering. It is built for FPV-class drones and DJI M350-class enterprise multirotors.
Q: What does “dual-lock” mean on the SDC? A: Every payload position is held by two independent locks (a dual safety lock), so a single latch is not the only thing retaining the payload in flight. Both locks must open for that channel to release.
Q: What are the dimensions and weights of each SDC variant? A: SDC2: 168 × 54 × 80 mm, approx. 160 g. SDC4: 168 × 108 × 93 mm, approx. 370 g. SDC6: 168 × 162 × 93 mm, approx. 580 g. SDC8: 215 × 168 × 100 mm, approx. 820 g.
Q: What payloads does the SDC carry? A: The SDC is sized for compact ovoid payloads such as inert training capsules, marker and signalling capsules, small beacons and compact resupply items. Payload fit is confirmed by FlySpark for the end user’s approved payload before supply.
Q: How is a release triggered? A: The SDC accepts a CRSF (Crossfire / ELRS serial) command, a PWM servo signal from a receiver or flight controller, a light-sensor trigger placed over the aircraft’s bottom auxiliary light, or a dedicated remote trigger. The ordered version is CRSF or SQ (quick-release); FlySpark confirms the trigger setup with the quotation.
Q: What is the difference between the CRSF and SQ versions? A: The CRSF version is commanded over the Crossfire / ELRS serial link from the aircraft’s receiver. The SQ version is the quick-release configuration intended to click on and off an aircraft-side quick-release plate. The dropper body, channel count and dual-lock mechanism are the same.
Q: Which drones is the SDC compatible with? A: FPV-class 7–10 inch quadcopters and custom-built multirotors, and DJI M350-class enterprise drones. The lighter SDC2 and SDC4 suit FPV-class airframes; the SDC6 and SDC8 are normally paired with M350-class aircraft. Always check the aircraft’s rated payload and centre of gravity.
Q: Can I use the SDC on a DJI Matrice 350 without wiring into the aircraft? A: Yes, with the light-sensor trigger: the optical sensor sits over the aircraft’s bottom auxiliary light and the light is toggled from the pilot app, so no signal wiring into the aircraft is needed. The dropper still needs a 7–28 V supply.
Q: Can the channels be released one at a time? A: Yes. Each channel has its own dual lock and can be released individually on command; the channel mapping is set up on the transmitter or trigger during integration.
Q: Which SDC variant should I choose? A: Choose by payload count and aircraft capacity: SDC2 (160 g) for light FPV-class airframes, SDC4 (370 g) for heavier FPV-class or medium multirotors, and SDC6 (580 g) or SDC8 (820 g) for M350-class enterprise drones.
Q: What is the drone dropper price in India? A: Price is on request. Each SDC is quoted by channel count, version (CRSF or SQ), trigger setup and accessories. Contact FlySpark on WhatsApp or email for a quotation in INR or for export.
Q: What is the lead time, and do you export? A: Lead time is confirmed with the quotation. FlySpark supplies across India and handles export enquiries subject to export-control approvals and end-user documentation.
Q: Who can buy the SDC? A: The SDC is supplied only to verified end users such as defence and government agencies, public-safety organisations, professional integrators, research institutions and licensed commercial operators.
Q: Can the SDC be used to carry weapons? A: FlySpark supplies the SDC as a payload release device for lawful uses such as training, signalling, sensor emplacement, rescue and resupply. Integration of any other authorised payload is the end user’s responsibility and must comply with national law, export controls and procurement rules.
Q: Does FlySpark help with integration? A: Yes. FlySpark / AnuShakti Infotech Pvt. Ltd. advises on aircraft matching, power and trigger wiring, CRSF or PWM channel mapping, light-sensor placement, ground testing and operator familiarisation.
Q: How do I load the SDC? A: With the dropper off the aircraft, place each payload in its cradle and close both locks, then slide the dropper onto the aircraft-side plate until it latches. Ground-test every channel before flight.
Q: What warranty is included? A: Warranty covers manufacturing defects for 1 year under approved use and normal operating conditions. Damage from crashes, overload, wrong supply voltage or unauthorised modification may not be covered.
