Intelligence Brief
FlySpark SDA Dual-Lock Multi-Channel Drone Payload Dropper is a parallel-rack drone dropper that carries 2, 4, 6 or 8 compact ovoid payloads in vertical curved cradles, each secured by its own dual safety lock. It mounts under the aircraft with a quick-release plate, runs on 5 V and is triggered by CRSF serial command, PWM servo signal, light sensor or remote control, so the same dropper fits FPV-class drones, custom multirotors and DJI M350-class enterprise aircraft.

The SDA is part of the FlySpark UAV Payload Droppers & Release Systems range, supplied and supported in India by AnuShakti Infotech Pvt. Ltd. for defence, government security, public-safety and professional integrator users, with export enquiries welcome.
The dropper is built from 60 mm-wide two-channel sections. Every variant shares the same 119 mm depth and 193 mm height, and the width grows with channel count: SDA2 60 mm (approx. 200 g), SDA4 120 mm (approx. 490 g), SDA6 180 mm (approx. 700 g) and SDA8 240 mm (approx. 900 g). The dropper-side quick-release seat is a free upgrade; the aircraft-side quick-release plate is sold separately so it can be matched to the airframe.

Payload security is what separates a field-grade dropper from a hobby release. The SDA holds each payload with two locking stages, so a channel stays closed through vibration, gusts, hard landings and transport, and a release only happens when the trigger command opens both stages. The vertical curved cradles keep compact ovoid payloads upright and centred, and the parallel layout keeps the centre of gravity under the aircraft as channels are emptied.

One design covers four channel counts, so a unit can standardise on a single dropper family across light FPV-class aircraft and heavy-lift enterprise drones. Quick-release mounting means the SDA can be swapped between aircraft, or replaced with a pre-loaded unit, in seconds on the flight line.

The SDA is powered at 5 V from the aircraft. A release can be commanded four ways: CRSF serial commands from a Crossfire / ELRS receiver, a PWM servo output from the flight controller or receiver, a light sensor placed over the drone’s auxiliary light (no flight-controller wiring), or a switch on the pilot’s remote control. When the command arrives, the channel’s dual safety lock opens and the payload drops clear of the cradle under gravity. Channel mapping and release sequencing are set up for the chosen trigger at commissioning.

The SDA is intended for FPV-class drones and custom multirotors, where the SDA2 and SDA4 keep weight to approx. 200–490 g, and for DJI M350-class enterprise multirotors, which can carry any variant up to the 900 g SDA8. Mounting is by quick-release plate: the aircraft-side plate stays on the airframe (sold separately) and the dropper-side seat is supplied as a free upgrade. Always confirm that dropper weight plus payloads stays within the aircraft’s rated payload and keeps the centre of gravity under the airframe.

For armed forces, paramilitary units and government security agencies, the SDA gives a secure, multi-payload release capability for signalling, resupply, training and sensor-emplacement work from FPV-class and M350-class aircraft.
For emergency services, utilities, agriculture and research, the SDA delivers several separate items in one sortie and holds them securely until each is released.

The SDA is the dual-lock, parallel-rack choice for compact ovoid payloads. For small camera drones a lighter pin-release or curved-cradle dropper is a better fit, while M18-class smoke canisters and Ø60 mm-class cylindrical payloads have dedicated multi-channel racks.
IMPORTANT USE NOTE: The SDA is supplied only to verified end users. The buyer is responsible for using lawful payloads only, obtaining airspace and drone-operation permissions, and complying with export-control and end-use rules. Payload fit is confirmed by FlySpark for the end user’s approved payload. Never fly a loaded dropper over people, and check the aircraft’s payload margin and centre of gravity before every flight.
Q: What is a multi-channel drone payload dropper? A: A multi-channel drone payload dropper is a release mechanism mounted under a drone that holds several separate payloads and releases them on command. The FlySpark SDA carries 2, 4, 6 or 8 payloads in parallel cradles, each held by its own dual safety lock.
Q: What is the FlySpark SDA? A: The FlySpark SDA is a dual-lock, parallel-rack multi-channel drone dropper for compact ovoid payloads. It is built from 60 mm-wide two-channel modules and offered as the SDA2, SDA4, SDA6 and SDA8, all with quick-release plate mounting and 5 V operation.
Q: What does “dual safety lock” mean on the SDA? A: Every channel is secured by two independent locking stages, so a payload is held by a second lock even if the first is disturbed by vibration or a hard landing. Both stages must be opened for the payload to leave the cradle.
Q: What sizes and weights are the SDA variants? A: SDA2: 60 × 119 × 193 mm, approx. 200 g. SDA4: 120 × 119 × 193 mm, approx. 490 g. SDA6: 180 × 119 × 193 mm, approx. 700 g. SDA8: 240 × 119 × 193 mm, approx. 900 g. Depth and height are the same on every variant; width grows by 60 mm per two channels.
Q: How is a release triggered? A: The SDA accepts CRSF serial commands (Crossfire / ELRS), a PWM servo signal from the flight controller or receiver, a light-sensor trigger, or a release command from the pilot’s remote control. The trigger configuration is confirmed with FlySpark when you order.
Q: What is the light-sensor trigger? A: An optical sensor is fixed over one of the drone’s auxiliary lights. Switching that light on from the pilot app commands the release, so no wiring into the flight controller is needed. It is the simplest way to fit the SDA to camera drones and enterprise aircraft with a controllable auxiliary light.
Q: Which drones is the SDA compatible with? A: The SDA is intended for FPV-class drones and custom multirotors (lighter SDA2 / SDA4) and for DJI M350-class enterprise multirotors (any variant, including the SDA8). Always check that dropper weight plus payloads stays inside the aircraft’s rated payload.
Q: How is the SDA mounted? A: It mounts with a quick-release plate. The dropper-side quick-release seat is a free upgrade; the aircraft-side quick-release plate is fixed to your airframe and is sold separately.
Q: What payloads does the SDA carry? A: The cradles are sized for compact ovoid payloads such as marker and signal devices, sensor pods, beacons, inert training payloads and small emergency-supply capsules. Payload fit is confirmed by FlySpark for the end user’s approved payload.
Q: Can one channel be released at a time? A: Channel mapping and release sequencing are set up for the chosen trigger method at commissioning. Tell FlySpark how you want to release (single channel or groups) and the configuration is confirmed before dispatch.
Q: Which SDA variant should I choose? A: Choose the SDA2 or SDA4 for FPV-class and custom multirotors where weight is critical, and the SDA6 or SDA8 for M350-class enterprise aircraft that can carry 700–900 g of dropper plus payloads.
Q: What is the SDA drone dropper price in India? A: Price is on request because it depends on variant, trigger configuration and quick-release hardware. Contact FlySpark on WhatsApp or email for a quotation in INR or for export.
Q: What is the lead time, and do you export? A: Lead time is confirmed with the quotation. FlySpark supplies verified end users across India and handles export enquiries subject to applicable export-control and end-user documentation.
Q: Who can buy the SDA? A: The SDA is supplied only to verified end users such as defence and government agencies, public-safety organisations, licensed integrators, research institutions and professional operators.
Q: Can the SDA carry other authorised payloads? A: The SDA is supplied as a payload release mechanism. Any payload must be lawful and approved for the end user; integration of other authorised payloads is the end user’s responsibility in accordance with national law, export controls and procurement rules.
Q: How does the SDA compare with other FlySpark droppers? A: The SDA is the dual-lock parallel-rack option for compact ovoid payloads. Lighter pin-release and curved-cradle droppers suit small camera drones, while heavier aluminium and carbon-fibre racks are used for Ø60 mm-class cylindrical payloads on large multirotors.
Q: Does FlySpark help with integration? A: Yes. FlySpark / AnuShakti Infotech Pvt. Ltd. supports trigger wiring, CRSF / PWM channel setup, light-sensor placement, quick-release plate fitting, payload-fit confirmation and operator training.
Q: What warranty is included? A: Warranty covers manufacturing defects for 1 year under approved use and normal operating conditions. Crash damage, overload, wrong voltage or unauthorised modification may not be covered.
