Intelligence Brief
FlySpark RD5-C 5-Position Revolver Drone Dropper is a rotary drone payload release system that carries five compact ovoid payloads in a rotating drum and releases them one at a time on command. Measuring 272 × 57 × 200 mm and weighing approximately 873 g, it runs on 5 V, is triggered by a standard PWM signal and fits on a quick-release plate under heavy-lift FPV-class drones and DJI M350-class enterprise multirotors.

The RD5-C is part of the FlySpark UAV Payload Droppers & Release Systems range, supplied and supported in India by AnuShakti Infotech Pvt. Ltd., with export enquiries welcome. It is built for defence and government security units, public-safety agencies and professional integrators who need several precise, sequential drops from a single sortie.
Each release command indexes the drum by one position and frees one payload, so an operator can mark five points, seed five sensors or deliver five small items before returning to land. The thin 57 mm profile keeps the unit close to the airframe's centreline, and the quick-release plate lets crews swap droppers between aircraft in the field. Payload fit is confirmed by FlySpark for the end user's approved payload.

A revolver layout gives five independent drops from one compact housing and one PWM channel. There is no need to wire five separate release servos or occupy five flight-controller outputs: one output, mapped to a switch, button or mission command, steps through all five positions in order.

The RD5-C uses the same 5 V servo-rail power and PWM signal that every common flight controller and receiver already provides, so integration on custom-built and FPV-class airframes is simple. On DJI M350-class enterprise drones it fits through a suitable mounting interface and quick-release plate. The dropper-side quick-release seat is a free upgrade; the aircraft-side seat is sold separately.

The RD5-C takes a PWM signal from a spare flight-controller output or a receiver auxiliary channel, plus 5 V and ground from the servo rail. When the operator triggers the release, the drum actuator indexes to the next position and the payload in that position drops clear. The sequence repeats for each of the five positions. Channel mapping, pulse widths and fail-safe behaviour are set and tested during FlySpark commissioning.

The RD5-C is specified for FPV-class drones and DJI M350-class enterprise drones. On FPV-class and custom multirotors, choose a heavy-lift frame with enough payload margin for approximately 873 g plus five payloads and a spare PWM output. On M350-class aircraft, mount the dropper through a suitable payload interface and connect the PWM release signal. In every case confirm take-off weight, centre of gravity and payload rating before flight.

The RD5-C is available in two configurations with the same 5-position drum, 272 × 57 × 200 mm size, approx. 873 g weight, 5 V supply and PWM signal.

For defence, paramilitary and government security users, the RD5-C delivers five sequential drops per sortie for marking, signalling, training and resupply tasks.
For emergency services, utilities, agriculture and research, the RD5-C turns a capable multirotor into a five-drop delivery platform for small items.

FlySpark offers single-channel, multi-channel, parallel-rack and revolver droppers for different aircraft and payload classes. Choose the RD5-C when you need five sequential drops of compact ovoid payloads from one PWM channel; choose a parallel-rack model when payloads must be released together.

IMPORTANT USE NOTE: The RD5-C is supplied only to verified end users. The buyer is responsible for using lawful payloads, obtaining all airspace permissions and complying with export controls and national regulations. Never fly over people or release payloads over people, and never exceed the aircraft's rated payload.
Q: What is a revolver drone dropper? A: A revolver (rotary) drone dropper carries several payloads in positions arranged around a rotating drum. Each release command indexes the drum and releases one payload, so a single sortie can service several drop points without landing to reload.
Q: What is the FlySpark RD5-C? A: The FlySpark RD5-C is a 5-position revolver drone payload dropper for compact ovoid payloads. It measures 272 × 57 × 200 mm, weighs approximately 873 g, runs on 5 V and is triggered by a standard PWM signal from the flight controller or receiver.
Q: What payloads does the RD5-C accept? A: The drum is sized for compact ovoid payloads such as marker and smoke units, beacons, sensor capsules, inert training payloads and small rescue items of matching size. Payload fit is confirmed by FlySpark for the end user’s approved payload.
Q: How is the RD5-C triggered? A: By a PWM servo signal. Connect it to a spare PWM output on the flight controller or an auxiliary channel on the receiver and map that output to a switch, button or ground-station command.
Q: Which drones is the RD5-C compatible with? A: It is intended for heavy-lift FPV-class or custom-built multirotors with a spare PWM output, and for DJI M350-class enterprise drones fitted with a suitable mounting interface. Always check the aircraft’s payload rating for the dropper plus payload weight.
Q: What is the difference between the PWM and SQ variants? A: Both are the same 5-position PWM revolver dropper at 272 × 57 × 200 mm and approx. 873 g. The SQ variant is the quick-release build, ideal when one dropper is shared between several aircraft; the PWM variant suits a dedicated airframe.
Q: How does the RD5-C compare with the 35RD5? A: Both are 5-position revolver droppers with PWM control and quick-release plate mounting. The 35RD5 is a smaller 180 × 110 × 165 mm, approx. 300 g unit for 35 mm-class cylindrical payloads, while the RD5-C is sized for compact ovoid payloads.
Q: Is the RD5-C used by defence and security forces? A: Yes, for support roles such as marker and screening smoke, signalling, inert training drops, sensor and beacon emplacement and emergency resupply. It is supplied only to verified end users.
Q: Can the RD5-C be used to drop weapons? A: FlySpark supplies the RD5-C as a payload release mechanism. Integration of any other authorised payload is the responsibility of the end user and must comply with national law, procurement rules and export controls.
Q: What is the lead time, and do you export? A: Lead time is confirmed with the quotation. FlySpark supplies across India and handles export enquiries subject to end-user documentation and applicable export controls.
Q: What warranty is included? A: Warranty covers manufacturing defects for 1 year under approved use and normal operating conditions. Damage from crashes, overload, wrong wiring or unauthorised modification may not be covered.
