Intelligence Brief
The FlySpark ZD2-V3 Dual-Channel Drone Payload Dropper is a compact release system that lets a small camera drone or FPV-class quadcopter carry two payloads and release each one independently. The body measures 90 × 34 × 48mm, weighs approximately 56–75g depending on version, runs on 5V and accepts either a PWM servo signal or an optical light-sensor trigger.

The ZD2-V3 is part of the FlySpark UAV Payload Droppers & Release Systems range, supplied and supported in India by AnuShakti Infotech Pvt. Ltd., with export enquiries handled for verified end users.
Each payload seats in its own curved cradle that conforms to the payload and is held by a hook-and-loop strap, and the two channels are commanded separately. One drone can therefore deliver to two points in one sortie, or hold a second item in reserve. Three versions cover the common aircraft types: ZD2-LED-V3 for DJI Mavic 2/3 and DJI Air 2/3 camera drones with no wiring into the aircraft, ZD2-PWM-V3 for PWM-signal FPV-class and custom-built drones, and ZD2-SQ-V3, a quick-release version for PWM-signal aircraft.

Two payloads are seated in the curved cradles and secured by their straps, whose latch ends are held at the central release point. On command, the dropper frees one strap and the payload in that cradle falls clear, while the other channel stays locked until it is commanded separately.

On the ZD2-LED-V3 the command comes from the drone itself. A small optical sensor is taped over the bottom auxiliary light, and switching that light from the DJI flight app triggers a release. On the ZD2-PWM-V3 and ZD2-SQ-V3 the dropper is driven by a 5V PWM servo signal from the receiver or flight controller, with release assigned to a transmitter switch. Channel-to-switch mapping is configured and verified during commissioning.

For armed forces, paramilitary units and government security agencies, the ZD2-V3 adds a two-point delivery capability for marking, resupply and training to the small drones already in service, with no change to the aircraft on DJI Mavic and Air platforms.

For rescue services, utilities, agriculture and research teams, the ZD2-V3 is a light and inexpensive way to deliver two small items accurately from a drone they already fly.

The ZD2-V3 is the lightest way to get two independent release points on a small drone. Choose the single-channel ZD1-V3 when one payload is enough, and the ZD4, ZD6 or ZD8 when a larger FPV-class or custom drone must carry more payloads per sortie.
The ZD2-V3 is supplied only to verified end users. The buyer is responsible for using only lawful payloads, obtaining all airspace and operating permissions, and complying with applicable export-control and end-use rules. Payload fit is confirmed by FlySpark for the end user's approved payload. Never fly a loaded dropper over people, and release payloads only over a clear, permitted drop zone.
Q: What is a drone payload dropper? A: A drone payload dropper is a small release mechanism mounted under a drone that holds one or more payloads and lets the pilot release them in flight on command. It turns a standard camera or FPV-class drone into a precise delivery tool for rescue, survey, training and resupply tasks.
Q: What is the FlySpark ZD2-V3? A: The FlySpark ZD2-V3 is a compact dual-channel drone payload dropper measuring 90 × 34 × 48mm and weighing approximately 56–75g. It carries two payloads in curved cradles and releases each one independently.
Q: What does "dual-channel with independent control" mean? A: The two cradles are released separately. You can drop the first payload at one point and keep the second on board for a later point, instead of releasing both at once.
Q: Which versions of the ZD2-V3 are available? A: Three: ZD2-LED-V3 with an optical light-sensor trigger for DJI Mavic 2/3 and DJI Air 2/3; ZD2-PWM-V3 for drones with a PWM servo signal (FPV-class and custom-built drones); and ZD2-SQ-V3, the quick-release version for PWM-signal aircraft.
Q: Which drones does the ZD2-LED-V3 fit? A: The LED version is listed for DJI Mavic 2, DJI Mavic 3, DJI Air 2 and DJI Air 3 series camera drones. It is strapped under the drone body and its light sensor sits over the drone's bottom auxiliary light.
Q: How does the LED (light-sensor) trigger work? A: An optical sensor is taped over the drone's bottom auxiliary light. Switching that light from the DJI flight app is detected by the sensor and commands a release, so no wiring into the aircraft is needed.
Q: How is the ZD2-PWM-V3 connected? A: Connect its servo lead to a free PWM output on the receiver or flight controller and assign a transmitter switch. The two release channels are mapped and verified during setup.
Q: What is the ZD2-SQ-V3 quick-release version? A: The SQ version uses the same PWM control with a quick-release interface, so the dropper can be swapped between aircraft quickly. It is used with a compatible aircraft-side quick-release mount, which is sold separately.
Q: What can the ZD2-V3 carry? A: Small, light payloads that seat in its curved cradles: rescue and first-aid pouches, compact radios, beacons, flotation pouches, marker and smoke canisters, seed balls and inert training payloads. Payload fit is confirmed by FlySpark for the end user's approved payload.
Q: What is the maximum payload weight? A: Usable payload depends on the aircraft's spare lift, not only the dropper. Check the total take-off weight and centre of gravity with both cradles loaded and stay within the drone manufacturer's limits.
Q: How does the ZD2-V3 compare with the single-channel ZD1-V3? A: The ZD1-V3 carries one payload in a 50 × 50 × 70mm body at about 50g. The ZD2-V3 carries two payloads with independent release in a 90 × 34 × 48mm body at about 56–75g.
Q: Do you offer droppers with more channels? A: Yes. The FlySpark ZD4 (4-channel), ZD6 (6-channel) and ZD8 (8-channel) droppers serve larger FPV-class and custom drones that need more release points per sortie.
Q: What is the lead time, and do you export? A: Lead time is confirmed with the quotation. FlySpark supplies across India and handles export enquiries subject to end-user verification and applicable export controls.
Q: Who can buy the ZD2-V3? A: It is supplied only to verified end users such as defence and government agencies, public-safety organisations, professional integrators, research institutions and commercial operators.
Q: Can the ZD2-V3 be used to carry weapons? A: FlySpark supplies the ZD2-V3 as a payload release device for lawful uses such as rescue, training, marking and resupply. Integration of any other authorised payload is the responsibility of the end user in accordance with national law, procurement rules and export controls.
Q: Does FlySpark help with installation? A: Yes. FlySpark / AnuShakti Infotech Pvt. Ltd. advises on aircraft compatibility, mounting, channel mapping and pre-flight checks, and supports operators after delivery.
Q: What warranty is included? A: Warranty covers manufacturing defects for 1 year under approved use and normal operating conditions. Crash, impact, overload or unauthorised modification damage may not be covered.
