Intelligence Brief
The FlySpark OM600 is an omnidirectional robot chassis and swerve drive UGV (unmanned ground vehicle) built as a heavy payload AGV / AMR platform that moves in any direction. Each of its four wheels has its own 600W hub motor and its own steering axis, so the OM600 can spin in place, slide sideways, travel diagonally or steer like a car. It carries 250kg on level ground, weighs only 130kg and drives up to 40km unladen (30km laden) on its 48V 40Ah battery.

Swerve steering with 15/18-bit encoder feedback gives precise, repeatable wheel angles, while the vehicle-grade drive-by-wire controller adds a kinematics algorithm and acceleration/deceleration planning for smooth motion under load. Independent suspension on all four 250mm tyres keeps the deck stable on uneven floors and outdoor paths. Top speed is 7.2km/h, it climbs 20° unladen (10° laden), steps over 110mm obstacles unladen (50mm laden) and crosses 200mm gaps unladen (120mm laden). The compact 940 × 558 × 395mm footprint, 600mm wheelbase and 450mm track make it easy to fit through doors, lifts and narrow aisles. The OM600 is part of the FlySpark Unmanned Ground & Surface Vehicles (UGV / USV) range, supplied and supported from India for domestic and export customers.

Because every wheel steers independently, the OM600 can drive forward, crab sideways into a rack or dock, travel diagonally with its heading fixed, spin on the spot or follow smooth dual Ackermann curves at speed. Unlike mecanum rollers, its normal rubber tyres keep full traction under a 250kg load and on outdoor paths.

The OM600 is built as an open, modular robotics base. A CAN 2.0B interface with a standard protocol and a ROS1 / ROS2 drive package (SDK) let you connect your own computer and autonomy stack quickly, and the controller switches cleanly between remote control and host command control. Payload power is available at 12V 15A, 24V 15A and 48V 20A, and the flat aluminium deck with two mounting rails accepts robot arms, gimbal cameras, cabinets, sensor masts and AI computing modules.

The OM600 is the heavy-payload omnidirectional member of the FlySpark UGV robot chassis family. Choose it when you need the highest wheeled payload plus zero-turn and sideways moves in tight spaces; choose a tracked model when stairs, mud or rough terrain dominate the mission.

Safety is handled in both hardware and software. The VCU runs 20 protection strategies covering emergency stop, communication heartbeat, timeout and BCC checks, overtemperature, overload, short-circuit and steering limits. Driving uses motor braking, and an electromagnetic power-off parking brake holds a 150kg load on a slope with anti-rollback if power is lost. The detachable, vehicle-grade electrical box is designed for high and low temperature, water pressure, vibration and salt spray, and can be swapped quickly for maintenance or upgrades.

Optional navigation configurations add 3D / 16-channel lidar, depth camera, RTK GNSS, IMU, industrial computer, router and display for 2D/3D map building, centimeter-level positioning, autonomous path planning, intelligent obstacle avoidance, virtual walls, multi-point tasks and automatic return to the docking charging station.

The OM600 gives defence users a compact, quiet, electrically driven robot base for patrol, surveillance and logistics on prepared ground, with an open CAN/ROS interface for in-house payloads and autonomy.
For industry and research, the OM600 combines omnidirectional agility in tight indoor spaces with enough range and suspension for plant roads and campuses.

IMPORTANT USE NOTE: The OM600 is a mobile robot chassis for lawful industrial, logistics, security, research and defence-support applications. It is rated IP44 with 50mm wading depth, so avoid flooded ground, heavy rain and immersion. Respect the 250kg level-ground payload and the lower laden climbing and obstacle limits, keep people clear during omnidirectional moves, and follow local safety, RF and site regulations. Optional radio links must be used only on legally permitted frequencies and power levels.
Q: What is the FlySpark OM600 omnidirectional robot chassis? A: The FlySpark OM600 is a modular omnidirectional robot chassis and swerve drive UGV (unmanned ground vehicle) with four independently driven and independently steered wheels. It carries up to 250kg on level ground, drives up to 40km per charge and can spin in place, move sideways or travel diagonally, making it an open base for logistics, inspection, patrol and research robots.
Q: What is a swerve drive UGV, and is the OM600 a mecanum-wheel robot? A: A swerve drive UGV steers every wheel on its own axis, so the vehicle can move in any direction without turning its body first. The OM600 is not a mecanum robot: each of its four 250mm rubber tyres has its own 600W hub motor and steering axis, which keeps better traction and load capacity on outdoor surfaces than mecanum rollers.
Q: Can the OM600 be used as a heavy payload AGV or AMR platform? A: Yes. With a 250kg payload, CAN 2.0B control, ROS1 / ROS2 SDK and optional lidar navigation with auto-charging, the OM600 is well suited as an AGV / AMR base. Its omnidirectional steering suits narrow warehouse aisles and factory floors, while the independent suspension handles paved roads, campuses, plant roads and compacted gravel.
Q: What motion modes does the OM600 support? A: Spin in place (zero-turn), lateral (crab) moving, diagonal moving, dual Ackermann steering for smooth curves at speed, and a parking stance where the wheels toe into an X for stable holding.
Q: How far and how fast can it drive? A: Maximum speed is 7.2km/h. Range is about 40km unladen and about 30km laden on the standard 48V 40Ah battery; a 48V 70Ah battery is available for longer shifts.
Q: What slopes and obstacles can it handle? A: Maximum climbing angle is 20° unladen and 10° laden. It can step over obstacles up to 110mm unladen (50mm laden) and cross gaps up to 200mm unladen (120mm laden). Ground clearance is 100mm under the chassis and 53mm at the suspension.
Q: Is the OM600 waterproof? A: The chassis is rated IP44, which protects against splashing water from any direction. Maximum wading depth is 50mm, so it suits light rain, wet floors and puddles, not flooded ground or immersion. The modular electrical box is built to vehicle-grade standards for temperature, vibration, water pressure and salt spray. It operates from -20°C to 50°C in high temperature, light rain, wind, light snow and light fog.
Q: How is the OM600 controlled? A: It uses a vehicle-grade drive-by-wire system that supports switching between remote control and host-computer command control. The controller includes a kinematics algorithm for omnidirectional motion and acceleration/deceleration planning for smooth starts and stops.
Q: Can I connect my own computer or autonomy stack? A: Yes. The chassis exposes a CAN 2.0B communication interface with a standard protocol and comes with a ROS1 / ROS2 drive package (SDK), so it integrates directly with ROS navigation stacks and custom autonomy software.
Q: What safety features are built in? A: The VCU applies 20 safety protection strategies, including emergency stop, communication heartbeat, communication timeout, communication BCC check, overtemperature, overload, short-circuit and steering-limit protection. An electromagnetic power-off parking brake holds a 150kg load on a slope and prevents roll-back if power is lost.
Q: How is the battery charged and how long does it take? A: Charging takes 4–5 hours with the 48V 10A charging adapter. An optional docking charging station lets the robot charge itself automatically when fitted with the navigation kit.
Q: Is autonomous navigation available? A: Yes, as an option. FlySpark can supply navigation configurations with 3D / 16-channel lidar, depth camera, RTK GNSS antenna, IMU, industrial computer, router and display, enabling 2D/3D map building, centimeter-level positioning, point-to-point path planning, obstacle avoidance, virtual walls, multi-point tasks and auto-charging.
Q: What can be mounted on the OM600? A: The flat aluminium deck with two mounting rails accepts robot arms, gimbal cameras, modular cabinets and boxes, sensor masts and AI computing modules. The detachable electrical box makes maintenance and upgrades fast.
Q: What is the price of the OM600 omnidirectional robot chassis in India? A: Price is on request because each chassis is configured to the customer’s battery, navigation and payload requirements. Contact FlySpark on WhatsApp or email for a quotation.
Q: What is the lead time, and do you export? A: The OM600 is built on order, and the lead time depends on the battery, navigation and integration package; it is confirmed with your quotation. FlySpark supplies customers across India and supports export orders subject to applicable export regulations.
Q: Can the OM600 UGV be armed? A: The OM600 is supplied as an unarmed robot chassis. Any defence payload must be lawful, cleared under applicable export-control and end-use rules, and integrated under the responsibility of an authorised integrator.
Q: Does FlySpark provide integration support? A: Yes. FlySpark / AnuShakti Infotech Pvt. Ltd. supports payload mounting, power and CAN integration, ROS onboarding, navigation kit setup, commissioning, operator training and after-sales service.
Q: What warranty is included? A: Warranty covers manufacturing defects for 1 year under approved use and normal operating conditions. Damage from overload, immersion beyond the 50mm wading depth, impact, wrong charging or unauthorized modification may not be covered.
